Material and process characteristics
Stainless steel selection: 304 stainless steel is suitable for general industrial environments, while 316 stainless steel, containing molybdenum (Mo), has stronger corrosion resistance and is suitable for harsh scenarios such as chemical engineering, Marine, and food processing. For instance, Core Sensors uses 316 stainless steel to manufacture pressure sensors, which can withstand high humidity, high-pressure flushing (IP68/IP69K), and corrosive media.
Precision machining: CNC machining technology ensures the precise matching of the housing, connectors and sensing elements. For instance, VMT's custom temperature sensor accessories achieve a tolerance of ±0.01mm through CNC turning/milling, making them suitable for compact Spaces or special installation requirements.
Surface treatment: Anodizing, electroplating or coating process to enhance wear resistance, anti-fingerprint or biocompatibility (medical grade requires ISO 10993 certification).

Sensor type adaptation
Pressure sensor: The measurement range covers 100psi to 40,000psi, with an accuracy of ±0.1% FS (full scale). The output CAN be selected as analog (4-20mA, 0-10V) or digital signal (Modbus, CAN bus). For instance, Variohm's EPT3100 series supports customer-specified connectors (such as M12, DIN 43650) and motor motion specifications.
Temperature sensor: Thermocouple (J/K/T type) or RTD (PT100/PT1000) elements are encapsulated in a stainless steel sheath, supporting custom lead length, connector type (welded/threaded) and protection grade (IP65 and above). C-Temp offers options for exposed junctions, grounded/ungrounded junctions, and welded gaskets.
Liquid level/flow sensor: Float type, capacitive or ultrasonic design, compatible with stainless steel float bodies or corrosion-resistant linings (such as PTFE), meeting chemical compatibility requirements.
Environmental adaptability: Operating temperature range: -50℃ to 200℃ (some high-temperature models can reach 300℃), resistant to vibration (IEC 60068-2-6), shock (IEC 60068-2-27) and EMC interference (EN 61000-6-2).
Electrical and mechanical interfaces: Custom thread size (NPT, G series), flange standard (ANSI/DIN), cable length and connector type (aviation plug, waterproof connector), supporting quick disconnection design.

Application scenarios and cases
Industrial automation: In oil drilling platforms, custom stainless steel pressure sensors are resistant to H₂S corrosion and high-pressure environments. The food production line adopts 316L material sensors to meet the FDA hygiene standards.
Medical equipment: The joint position sensor of the surgical robot adopts a biocompatible stainless steel housing and is equipped with a sterile connector.
Aerospace: The engine compartment temperature monitoring uses high-temperature alloy (Inconel 718) encapsulated sensors, which can withstand extreme temperature gradients and vibrations.
New energy: For pressure monitoring of hydrogen fuel cell stacks, custom-made stainless steel sensors with explosion-proof certification (ATEX/IECEx) are required to ensure the safety of the hydrogen environment.
